About Brick Alley LEGO User Group
Brick Alley is an LEGO User Group (LUG) based in the North East of England.
We are a club for adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) , and meet monthly on the third Sunday of the month, usually in Darlington, though we’ve met in Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and even Barnard Castle too.
If you’d like to join us, please read our terms for membership, and drop us an email – we’d love to have you!
Our aims
Brick Alley LEGO User Group exists to:
- promote and support LEGO as a viable hobby for adults
- provide for adult fans of LEGO (AFOLS) in the North East of England area
- share ideas on building models and how best to display them
- display LEGO models in and around the North East, and further afield
- interact with other LEGO User Groups in the UK and around the world
- further promote LEGO products to adult fans of LEGO (AFOLS)
About the group
We were founded in 2014, and regularly welcome new members to our group. As of 2026, we stand at over 130 members. We have an elected committee of 5 members who help to organise and run the group and our events.
Since then, our members have exhibited LEGO all around the UK, and we run many LEGO shows in the area:
- Discovery Brick Show in Newcastle upon Tyne
- Shildon Brick Show in County Durham at the awesome Locomotion Museum
- Thirsk Brick Show, usually in February each year
- Durham Brick Show, usually in September each year
- We celebrated our 10th anniversary in October 2024, by hosting Darlington Brick Show
- Monthly meetups for our members.
