Celebrating 10 years of Brick Alley at Darlington Brick Show
Brick Alley first met in October 2014, and we decided to celebrate our ten years as a LEGO User Group in North East England with an extra event – Darlington Brick Show!
Hosted at the Dolphin Centre in the centre of Darlington on 12th and 13th July 2025, Brick Alley members and members of other LEGO User Groups including Northern Brickworks, Brickshire, Tartan LUG, and London AFOLS, from across the UK came to display their LEGO models.
As you can see, it takes a large team of people to volunteer and exhibit to make the show happen, so thanks to all who came to support Brick Alley at the event.
Best MOC winner at Darlington Brick Show
Congratulations to Steve and Evie who won Best MOC (My Own Creation – a custom LEGO model) at Darlington Brick Show with their epic Monsters Inc Great Ball Contraption model, with the moving doors transporting balls across the module to the next one. Very inventive and visually impressive!
The biggest LEGO cake we’ve ever seen!
Of course, we can’t celebrate the club’s 10th birthday without a cake, and what a cake Faye ordered for us from local bakers Hunnibun Bakes!
Great creations in our LEGO play pits
It wasn’t just the adult fans of LEGO who were creative at the weekend – our visitors left us plenty of epic models built from bricks from our play pits too!
Our next events
Our next club show is Durham Brick Show at the lovely Ushaw House in September – come along and see us then! Finally, Shildon Brick Show returns 2 weeks earlier than usual on 1st and 2nd November 2025.
