Support Steve and his LEGO puffins!
Brick Alley member Steve Thomas has combined his three major passions—LEGO, Photography, and Ornithology into one incredible project taking photos of his LEGO puffins in their natural habitat on the Northumberland coast.
You might think photographing birds that can’t fly away sounds easy, but standing ankle-deep in freezing seawater, fighting the wind as it knocks your models over, and waiting for the perfect dramatic wave to crash into the foreground is a massive challenge!
All this effort is not for nothing: Steve’s puffins are on LEGO ideas, an internet platform for designers to submit their MOC’s for approval from the public and LEGO. If Steve gets the required 10k votes LEGO will consider making his puffins into an official set.
