Brick Alley AGM, January 2026

As a club, we hold our Annual General Meeting each year to share the committee’s plan for the coming year, and to review the past year.

Our upcoming events for LEGO fans in 2026

Our confirmed events for 2026 are as follows:

There is no Discovery Brick Show this year as the venue is undergoing refurbishment – we hope to be back on Tyneside next year!

New committee members

After a recent election, we have confirmed the results for the positions as follows:

  • Secretary – Mim Porter
  • Treasurer – Amy Gibson
  • Vice Chair – Matt Bailey

We also elected a new member representative to help funnel members’ ideas and feedback to the committee; congratulations to Andy Back.

Thank you to outgoing committee members

A huge thank you to outgoing committee members Tris and Faye, past vice chair and treasurer for the club for many years.

Committee members dedicate their own hobby time to help run our meetups and LEGO shows throughout the year, and their efforts over the years are much appreciated. Without people willing to run the club, we wouldn’t have such a vibrant community and rotation of events for LEGO fans of all ages to enjoy.

Tallest LEGO cranes

Mim also ran an activity for us post AGM – build the tallest crane from LEGO bricks, with winners for both the height and the longest boom. Mark, Amy and John reached the longest boom, whilst Victoria, Sammy, Jules, John and Richard reached the dizzying heights of 179cm (with a much shorter boom!).
